To celebrate the completion of the highest structural point of construction, a topping-out ceremony was held at the Pillar Iļģuciema Mājas residential development at 27/29 Spilves Street in Riga.

The project continues Pillar’s commitment to developing energy-efficient housing in Riga. Iļģuciema Mājas is already the fourth A+ energy-efficiency class apartment development delivered by Pillar in Riga and the first in Pārdaugava area.

The new development, being constructed by Pillar Contractor, is located in the Iļģuciems neighbourhood at 27/29 Spilves Street. The project comprises two seven-storey buildings with 55 apartments in each. The buildings will offer two-, three- and four-room apartments with full interior finishing, ranging in size from 47 to 86 square metres. Each apartment will feature a separate utility room for convenient storage, a balcony or terrace, and an individual storage unit located on the ground floor of each building. Indoor air quality will be ensured by a premium-class individual ventilation system with heat recovery. Buyers will also have the option to install an individual air-conditioning unit in their apartment – another important enhancement to everyday comfort.

Particular attention has been given to creating an attractive and secure living environment. The landscaped courtyard will feature extensive greenery as well as a children's playground, providing opportunities for outdoor recreation. For residents’ convenience, the development will include parking spaces for apartment owners, together with spaces equipped for electric vehicle charging.

A lockable shared storage room for bicycles and strollers will be available on the ground floor of each building. In addition, a secure, lockable bicycle shelter will be constructed within the development. Elevators will also be installed in both buildings to ensure greater everyday convenience.

Several kindergartens and schools are located nearby, making daily routines easier for families with children.

The development is scheduled for completion at the end of 2026, with the first residents expected to receive the keys to their new homes in early 2027. Total investment in the project is expected to reach almost EUR 13 million.

To date, Pillar has developed new apartment buildings in Mežciems, where the second phase of the project is due to commence shortly, as well as in Dārzciems and Dreiliņi. A new development in Purvciems is planned in the near future, alongside additional residential projects in other districts of Riga.
